Chairman’s Message for August 2026

Beloved in Christ,​

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Welcome to the month of August, a month in which we continue to experience the goodness, faithfulness, and abundant blessings of God. As we journey through this season of "Reaping in Joy", we are reminded that the Christian life was never intended to be lived by human strength alone. God has graciously given us His Holy Spirit to empower, guide, comfort, and sustain us in every aspect of life and ministry.​

Our theme for this month is "Reaping in Joy Through the Holy Spirit," taken from Acts 1:4-8. Before His ascension, Jesus instructed His disciples not to depart from Jerusalem but to wait for the promise of the Father. He assured them that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them and that they would become effective witnesses to the ends of the earth. This promise was not only for the early disciples but for all believers. The Holy Spirit remains God's gift to His children, enabling us to live victorious, fruitful, and impactful Christian lives.​

As believers, we often desire God's blessings, breakthroughs, and victories, yet we sometimes overlook the One through whom God accomplishes His work in us - the Holy Spirit. It is through the Holy Spirit that we receive strength for daily living, wisdom for decision-making, courage in difficult times, and power for effective service. The joy we seek and the victories we desire are closely connected to our relationship with the Holy Spirit.

However, there are two common challenges that prevent many believers from fully experiencing the ministry of the Holy Spirit. 

​

First, some believers attempt to live the Christian life in their own strength. Human effort alone can never produce spiritual success. The demands of life, ministry, family, and personal growth can quickly overwhelm us when we rely solely on our abilities. The Lord reminds us in Zechariah 4:6,  "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." When we depend on the Holy Spirit, He supplies the strength we lack and enables us to accomplish what would otherwise be impossible.​

​

Second, some believers fail to cultivate intimacy with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not merely a force or influence; He is the third Person of the Godhead who desires fellowship with us. Through prayer, worship, obedience, and the study of God's Word, we develop sensitivity to His leading. When we neglect these spiritual disciplines, we may miss His guidance and hinder His work in our lives. The more we walk with the Holy Spirit, the more we experience His peace, wisdom, and transforming power.

The Holy Spirit produces lasting fruit in the life of every believer. He transforms our character, strengthens our faith, and equips us for service. He comforts us in times of sorrow, directs us in times of uncertainty, and empowers us to fulfill God's purpose. Through Him, we receive the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. What a blessing it is to know that we do not journey through life alone; the Holy Spirit is with us every step of the way.

As we move through this month, I encourage you to deepen your relationship with the Holy Spirit. Seek His guidance daily. Listen for His voice. Yield to His leading. Depend upon His power rather than your own strength. Invite Him into every area of your life, your family, your work, your  ministry, and your decisions. As you do, you will discover new dimensions of joy, strength, and spiritual fruitfulness.

May this month be marked by a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon your life. May He empower you to overcome every challenge, guide you into all truth, strengthen your faith, and fill your heart with divine joy. May the Holy Spirit open doors of opportunity, grant you wisdom beyond your understanding, and cause you to reap abundantly in every area of your life. May your walk with God deepen, your spiritual gifts flourish, and your testimony shine brightly for His glory.

May the Lord fill you afresh with His Spirit, strengthen you for every good work, and cause you to reap in joy throughout this month and beyond.
