Chairman’s Message for October 2026

Beloved in Christ,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Welcome to the month of October, a month in which we continue to celebrate the faithfulness of God and His sustaining grace throughout this year. As we journey further under our annual theme of "Reaping in Joy," we are reminded that many of God's greatest blessings come not merely through moments of success, but through steadfast perseverance in the midst of challenges.

Our theme for this month is "Reaping in Joy Through Perseverance," based on James 1:2-4. In this passage, the Apostle James encourages believers to view trials from a different perspective. He writes, "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." These words remind us that God often uses life's difficulties to develop our character, strengthen our faith, and prepare us for greater blessings.

Perseverance is the ability to remain steadfast, faithful, and committed despite obstacles, disappointments, delays, and hardships. It is refusing to quit when circumstances become difficult. Throughout Scripture, we find examples of men and women who persevered and ultimately experienced God's promises. Joseph endured betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment before rising to leadership. David faced years of opposition before becoming king. The Apostle Paul endured countless trials while faithfully fulfilling God's calling. Their stories remind us that perseverance often precedes promotion.

However, perseverance is not always easy, and many believers face challenges that can discourage them along the way.

First, some believers become discouraged when answers to their prayers seem delayed. In a world that values instant results, waiting on God's timing can be difficult. We may begin to question whether God has heard our prayers or whether He is still working on our behalf. Yet Scripture repeatedly teaches us that God's timing is perfect. What appears to be a delay is often God's preparation. Galatians 6:9 encourages us: "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." The harvest belongs to those who refuse to give up.

Second, some believers become overwhelmed by trials and setbacks. Life's difficulties can sometimes make us feel as though our efforts are in vain. Health challenges, financial pressures, family concerns, ministry struggles, and personal disappointments can test our resolve. Yet God never promised a life free from challenges; He promised His presence through them. Isaiah 41:10 assures us, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God." The strength to persevere comes not from ourselves but from the Lord who walks with us every step of the way.

One of the beautiful truths about perseverance is that it produces spiritual maturity. Trials have a way of refining our faith, teaching us dependence on God, and strengthening our trust in His promises. Just as gold is purified through fire, believers are often refined through seasons of testing. When we remain faithful through difficulties, our testimony becomes stronger, our character becomes deeper, and our relationship with God becomes richer.

As we enter this month, I encourage you not to give up on what God has placed in your heart. Continue praying, continue believing, continue serving, and continue trusting. Do not allow temporary setbacks to cause you to abandon God's promises. Remember that every step of obedience, every act of faithfulness, and every season of endurance is preparing you for the harvest God has ordained for you.

Perhaps you have been waiting for a breakthrough, praying for a loved one, trusting God for healing, believing for restoration, or seeking direction for the future. Be encouraged. The God who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. Your labor in the Lord is not in vain. The same God who sustained Joseph in prison, strengthened David in the wilderness, and empowered Paul through adversity is able to sustain you as well.

May this month be a season of renewed strength, unwavering faith, and steadfast perseverance. May the Lord encourage your heart when you are weary, strengthen your hands when you feel weak, and renew your hope when challenges arise. May He grant you the grace to endure, the courage to continue, and the faith to believe that your harvest is on the way.

As you persevere in faith and obedience, may the Lord cause you to reap in joy. May every delayed blessing come forth in God's perfect timing, every promise be fulfilled according to His will, and every season of testing yield a testimony of His faithfulness. May you finish this year stronger than you began, and may the joy of the Lord remain your strength.
