Chairman’s Message for May 2026

Beloved in Christ,

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I warmly welcome you into the month of May and joyfully declare: Happy New Month! As we continue our journey in this year themed “Reaping in Joy,” the Lord is calling us in this fifth month to a deeper walk with Him through spiritual discipline—a pathway that guarantees lasting joy, strength, and victory.

Our anchor Scripture, 1 Timothy 4:6–8, exhorts us to be nourished in the words of faith and sound doctrine, and to “exercise [ourselves] toward godliness.” This divine instruction reminds us that while physical exercise has its benefits, spiritual discipline carries both present and eternal rewards. It is through consistent and intentional spiritual practice that we position ourselves to experience the fullness of God’s promises.

Spiritual discipline is the foundation of a vibrant and victorious Christian life. It is cultivated through prayer, fasting, meditation on the Word, worship, service, giving, and fellowship. These are not mere religious activities; they are divine engagements that strengthen our inner selves and align us with God’s perfect will. As we commit to these disciplines, we grow in intimacy with God, gain clarity of purpose, and receive the grace to overcome life’s challenges.

Jesus Himself emphasized the power of spiritual discipline when He declared in Matthew 17:21 that certain victories come only through prayer and fasting. Likewise, Joshua 1:8 assures us that meditating on God’s Word brings prosperity and good success day and night. Though discipline may require sacrifice and consistency, it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness, as affirmed in Hebrews 12:11.

Beloved, just as an athlete trains with focus and endurance to obtain a prize (1 Corinthians 9:24–27), we are also called to spiritual diligence. The joy we seek is not accidental but the harvest of a disciplined life surrendered to God. When we sow faithfully in the Spirit, we will undoubtedly reap in joy, according to Psalm 126:5. The Lord rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6), and His joy becomes our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

As we embrace this month, I encourage you to renew your commitment to spiritual discipline. Be intentional in your walk with God. Set aside time daily to seek His face. Let your life be rooted in His Word and guided by His Spirit. In doing so, you are planting seeds that will produce a harvest of joy, peace, and divine fulfillment.

I pray that this month will mark a new level of spiritual growth and stability in your life. May the Lord empower you to remain steadfast in your spiritual practices. May your prayer life be revived, your hunger for the Word be intensified, and your commitment to godly living be strengthened. May every seed of discipline you sow yield abundant joy, testimonies, and breakthroughs. May the Lord uphold you with His righteous hand, grant you grace to persevere, and cause you to flourish in every area of your life. May your walk with Him be consistent, your faith unshakable, and your joy overflow; and may the Lord grant us all the grace to walk in spiritual discipline, to seek Him wholeheartedly, and to reap in joy, victory, and abundant blessings both now and in eternity, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Happy New Month, and may you truly reap in joy through spiritual discipline.

Shalom,
